Cotton Sarees

To maintain the crisp texture of handloom cotton sarees, you can use liquid starch during the final rinse when hand-washing them. For the first 2-3 washes, wash the cotton saree separately in cold water mixed with a spoonful of rock salt to lock in the rich organic dyes.

Hand-washing is preferred to prolong the life of the delicate handloom weave. However, if using a machine, select a gentle/delicate cycle in cold water and place the saree inside a mesh laundry bag. Avoid tumble drying; instead, line dry in the shade to prevent color fading.

Handloom cotton is spun and woven on traditional wooden looms, offering a slightly textured feel, excellent durability, and structure. Mulmul (or muslin) cotton is an extremely fine, soft, and lightweight variety of cotton weave that feels like cloud and is highly breathable for summer wear.

Since we use high-quality, pre-washed premium cotton fibers, there is minimal to no shrinkage (less than 2-3%) when care instructions are followed properly (cold water wash, line dry in shade).
